I know you'll all be as excited about this as I am.

Joss Whedon's newest project is Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog which is a supervillian musical released online in three parts. Part one was released yesterday, part two will be released tomorrow, and part three will be released on Saturday. After Sunday it will be gone, hopefully to be purchasable soon after.

Go watch, it's got Nathan Fillion singing!

Thanks to the Bad Astronomer for a very spiff, and very short, like this about something that some people think the government may have to do soon.

Additionally, there is no way that some farm kid could destroy a fully-operational Death Star.

I'd like to say that I'm too busy gaming to post, but I can't. I'm currently having to do tech support for myself. Switching over to the on-board audio on my motherboard has been fraught with difficulties. Thankfully, I can blame Microsoft.

Blah.

Sadly, the size of my needed update has become a bit daunting. I need to sit myself down where there is no internet access and get it done.

Tormenta eléctrica en erupción del volcán Chaitén. These are pictures of a thunderstorm colliding with the ash from an erupting Chilean volcano. I only wish I could get desktop sized versions.

Still behind on LJ, will post more when I'm caught up.

[music |Jonathon Coulton - I Feel Fantastic (live, Hollywood, with backup)]

According to the e-mail I just received, I made a 82% on my Physics Final Exam. This gives me a "B+" in the class. I'm a little skeptical of this grade, but I will admit that it's within the realms of possibility. (Although it's the exact minimum that I would need for the "B+".) I'd have to get a 94% on the make-up test tomorrow to get an "A". I'm quite satisfied with the "B+" and I know that I couldn't get a 94% on that test.

In other words, I'm done with school for the semester! Woo! Time for some video games!

In other news, if I had a garage, I would instantly buy the Illustrated Guide to Home Chemistry Experiments. I had a chemistry set when I was a kid, but it was pretty weak and I wasn't as fixated on science as I am now. For anyone who reads this who has kids of the right age, you should buy it.

Time to celebrate!

I found this thanks to the CERN Podcast. I'll be adding this podcast to my download queue post haste.

I other news, I don't think I did so well on my Physics final. Hopefully I pulled off a "B" in the class. No word on whether or not I can (or need to) take Test 2 tomorrow. I just sent the teacher an e-mail about it. Even if I don't hear from him I'm going to spend tonight studying for it.

After that, I'm done though. Woo!

I have the official Physics final exam tomorrow morning. I may have a make-up Physics test to take on Friday, depending on how I do on the final.

I'm still behind on LJ. I'll catch-up after I'm done studying.

I wish there was a way I could opt-out of Mother's Day advertisements.

[music |Jonathan Coulton - A Talk with George (live, Hollywood)]

According to the letter I received today, I've been officially readmitted to the University of Florida. I popped online and confirmed that I'm signed up for the Astronomy degree.

I'm very, very relieved. I'm a little too stressed to really enjoy it though. I've got five or six tests in the next couple weeks and a massive amount of studying to do for them. That's why I'm very, very behind on LJ, by the by.

I'm just a bit annoyed that UF seems fixated on using the grades I received in classes 14 years ago to compute my GPA, as opposed to using the grades I received in the very same classes last year. I'm going to start pestering people about this.

I have to say, I prefer these twelve steps as opposed to the God-fearing ones of Alcoholics Anonymous. I don't know what the title of the comic, "The Hell-Magritte Method," means. Does anyone know?

I left campus after making a couple calls. I didn't want to be late for work. I just left my car in the work parking lot as I got the text message saying that everything was fine. Heh.

In the past few weeks, I've been tempted to drop the Mind Hacks blog from my "regular reading" list. However, this post commemorating the death of the the creator of ELIZA via a conversation with ELIZA has earned it a reprieve.

In other news, I have a decent handle on what schoolwork I need to do by the end of the month. Hopefully I can get it all done. Wish me luck!

1) What's the status of the Avenue Q Tampa shows, oh friends-list of mine?

2) The Original Pizza Palace returns!

3) Anyone want to see Eddie Izzard with me in June?

(Come on, you think of a word that works for Eddie Izzard that begins with a "P".)

I got a 100%+ on the Genetics test. I expected an 90%+, I'm glad I did that well, however the class is abysmally easy.

I did well on the Differential Equations test, but I didn't get the last part of the last question done. I didn't manage my time well enough. I'll see how it turns out on Tuesday.

Thanks for the well-wishes, everyone.
